LA County Fair Parade Competition
Marching bands from all over Southern California participate in the LA County Fair’s Parade Competition vying for over $22,000 in prize money. Band programs participate and are adjudicated in the weekly parades held in the month long event. At the end of the month long event, the top 3 marching band programs are invited back to compete for a cash prize of $10,000!
For over 20 years, the Diamond Ranch Panther Brigade has participated in the LA County Fair’s parade competition at Pomona’s Fairplex. Although Diamond Ranch High School Band and Color Guard have always found themselves in the top five, Diamond Ranch has earned coveted top three spots in the past three years, earning over $15,000 in prize money! |

Chino Invitational Band Review
Every November, the best marching bands from all over Southern California come to compete in the prestigious Chino Invitational Band Review. The Diamond Ranch Panther Brigade has been a long-time participant and have always earned top honors in each division they were placed in. After 20 years of hard work the Diamond Ranch Band and Color Guard have earned a place in the top 5 of all participating groups.

Arcadia band review
The last review of the season for many bands in California is the most prominent and well known review: The Arcadia Band Festival of Bands . This end of the season band review is where the Panther Brigade rises to their peak and demonstrates the hard work and results of their past season. The Diamond Ranch Band and Color Guard was finally invited to be part of this event over 10 years ago. Since then, the Panther Brigade has risen through each division to find itself amongst the top 10 marching band programs in California!
Solo & Ensemble FestivalEach school-year, the Pomona Unified School District sponsors the Southern California School & Band Association Solo & Ensemble Festival. Solo & Ensemble is a yearly opportunity for students in music programs to perform a solo, duet, and get feedback on their performance. Students are adjudicated and given a rating based on their performance. Those who earn a Superior Rating or a Command Performance are eligible to perform again at a State Regional Festival.
SCSBOA FestivalThe Pomona Unified School District (PUSD) sponsors the Southern California School Band & Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) District Band & Orchestra Festival, held every year. Concert bands, wind ensembles, string orchestras and symphonies throughout PUSD perform chosen works for adjudication and given a rating. The Diamond Ranch Concert Band and String Orchestra have continually earned Superior ratings over 20 years.
A Holiday Extravaganza!Every year the Diamond Ranch band, orchestra and color guard are thrilled to welcome, student’s from the surrounding elementary and middle schools for their winter concert. This extravaganza kicks off the holiday season with performances from Lorbeer Middle School orchestra, band, and PUSD elementary school orchestra and band students.

Breakfast With Santa
Our annual Breakfast with Santa Fundraiser continues the Holiday cheer for the whole community! Families from all over the Pomona and Diamond Bar communities come to enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast, listen to Christmas carols sung by the DRHS Stylus Singers, and of course, take pictures with the big jolly man himself! Guests can also look for that perfect gift at the silent auction. This event is held annually on the first Saturday of December.

Spring Concert
Each school-year ends with our very own Spring concert held at the Fox theater! At the end of each school year, thousands of people visit Pomona's own Fox theater as the DRHS music department showcases their talent! This Black Tie event showcases performances from Solo & Ensemble, Color Guard, Winterline, Band, Orchestra and the Jazz Band! Not only will you enjoy an evening of great food and music, you will be supporting the students of the DRHS Music Department and continue to make and create great music. All proceeds go toward maintaining a quality education for Diamond Ranch students and support the important work they do within our school and community. This event is definitely an event to remember!
